CHRIS ROHLE

Teaching Physical Education and Health in the Hastings School District. His commitment to developing well-rounded athletes extends beyond the court, where he prioritizes physical, mental, and emotional growth in every player he mentors. As the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Hastings High School, Coach Rohle calls on a wealth knowledge, enthusiasm, and a passion for player development.

Coach Rohle’s journey spans 12 years, beginning with his role as a Modified Boys Basketball Coach in 2013-2014, where he focused on building foundational skills and fostering a love for the game. From 2014 to 2020, he served as a JV Boys Basketball Coach, helping players refine their abilities and prepare for the challenges of varsity competition. Most recently, Coach Rohle contributed to the Varsity Girls Basketball program as an Assistant Coach from 2020 to 2024, playing an instrumental role in the team’s success. fuels every step we take on and off the court.

JEREMY HOPWOOD

Coach Hopwood is a passionate and experienced basketball expert with a 15-year track record of success in the Westchester community, particularly in the Rivertowns. Having led championship teams at multiple levels, Coach Hopwood brings a wealth of knowledge from his work with scholastic, varsity, and collegiate programs. His approach to coaching emphasizes the holistic development of student-athletes, focusing on courage, discipline, and personal growth.

Coach Hopwood’s philosophy of teamwork and respect are essential to building better athletes and shaping better people. His commitment to physical fitness, mental well-being, and fostering a sense of belonging ensures that every player he works with feels valued.

The HAVOC model includes the following:

  • Proper Nutrition - advice and recommendations by sports nutrition experts

  • Proper sleep - how to relax and prepare for healthy sleep on a nightly basis

  • De-stress and mental focus - yoga and other focus techniques to improve athletic performance

  • Peer to peer support - we dedicate practice time for peer to peer support and connection, creating a sense of inclusivity and community.
